One aspect of video games that started to be as important as it is in roleplaying games is the process of players creating their own character and customize it to achieve a specific look. This element has become increasingly popular in all sorts of video games, the popular fighting game series called SoulCalibur made it a very important step to both advance the narrative and provide players with a way to make an avatar of their choice. In SoulCalibur 6, which is the most recent installment of the franchise and also acts as a reboot of the series, players are tasked with creating a fully customizable character in the second story mode for the game, which is called Libra of Soul.

Thanks to a vast array of different assets available, and thanks to the additional ones that can be purchased as part of SoulCalibur 6's customization DLCs, players can virtually make anything they want during the character creation process. The bit regarding physical appearance is not too dissimilar from that of Final Fantasy 14, which features a lot of options for character creation, and SoulCalibur 6 players can customize the height, weight, muscle mass, and much more. This feature makes SoulCalibur the epitome of character creation because players can freely alter the physical appearance and the clothing of their avatar, with some incredible results.

Homer Simpson

Because SoulCalibur 6's character creator will allow players to change the shape, size, and color of almost anything, an unknown Reddit user who deleted their profile posted their take on Homer Simpson. The bulgy eyes and mouth, combined with the donut-ring, make this one of the best creations in the game.

Skyrim's Dragonborn

Another creation from another unnamed Redditor, this Dragonborn is pretty much identical to that on the cover for Skyrim. The soon-to-be 10-year-old game has inspired many players over the years, and it remains an iconic title with plenty of secrets that gamers are still discovering to this day. As such, a tribute to the Dragonborn in SoulCalibur 6 is worthy of praise.

Jinx, the Pokemon

Not unlike Skyrim, Pokemon games have shaped entire generations of video game fans, and a Redditor by the name of PatBeefy shared a very fun and yet terrifying realistic version of an already slightly unsettling Pokemon called Jinx. PatBeefy made it so the face of the humanoid character is actually covered entirely by the hair, making Jinx look very much like its in-game counterpart. This is more evidence that SoulCalibur 6 players can truly turn their characters into wild designs.

Scott Pilgrim vs. The World Characters

A Redditor named HaoJoestar shared on the platform an entire cast of characters they made in SoulCalibur 6. Not just any cast of characters, but that from Scott Pilgrim vs. The World, while at it. Making a single character that's similar to some other is no easy task on its own, but HaoJoestar did an incredible job making an avatar for a whopping total of eleven characters, and they all look pretty much the same as they do both in the original movie and graphic novel.

Bee Movie Meets 2B From Nier: Automata

A very creative Redditor by the name of Exile_Reaper made 2B from Nier: Automata in SoulCalibur 6, but they added the Bee Movie to the mix, and this quite peculiar creation was the result. It is all too realistic of a look for it not to become nightmare fuel, and this character takes SoulCalibur 6's potential to a whole new level.

Ultimately, what SoulCalibur 6's character creation system provides players with is freedom, and if it were to ever allow non-human body types in future installments, the series would truly become one of the most limit-free games in terms of customization.

SoulCalibur 6 is available for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
