The PS4 may have just had one of its biggest Black Fridays ever, but that doesn't mean that platform holder Sony is slowing down with the deals. Today, the company announced even more discounts on PS4 hardware for the month of December.

The December PS4 console deals begin on Sunday, December 10th and run until Saturday, December 16th in the United States. PS4 Pro consoles (standalone systems and bundles) will be $50 off their usual retail price. This includes the black PS4 Pro 1TB console which will cost $350 (down from $400).

For those looking for something a little more exciting than the standard black PS4 Pro console, then Sony has discounts for those as well. The limited edition Star Wars Battlefront 2 PS4 Pro bundle offers a customized, Star Wars-themed PS4 with a DualShock 4 controller to match, as well as a copy of Star Wars Battlefront 2: Elite Trooper Edition. That will cost $400 and is down from the original price of $450.

And finally, on the PS4 console front, the limited edition Destiny 2 PS4 Pro bundle has been discounted too. The bundle costs $400 (down from $450) and includes a Glacier White PS4 Pro 1TB with a matching DualShock 4 controller, a copy of Destiny 2, and a voucher for the Destiny 2 expansion pass. Given that part of the expansion pass has already been released (the Curse of Osiris DLC launched this week), this deal is launching at just the right time.

PS4 Pro and PS VR discounts December 2017

Sony has also announced some discounts on PlayStation VR bundles and these will run from Sunday, December 10th until Sunday, December 24th. Discounted bundles include the PlayStation VR Gran Turismo Sport bundle (it will cost $200, down from $300), the PlayStation VR DOOM VFR bundle (it will cost $300, down from $400), and there's the PlayStation VR Skyrim bundle (it will cost $350, down from $450).

The timing of these deals is no coincidence as Sony is discounting the hardware in order to capitalize on all of the discussion that will be surrounding the PlayStation Experience announcements on December 9th. It gives prospective PS4 and PS VR players an extra reason to spend on the hardware and bag themselves a bargain in the Christmas shopping rush.
