Several weeks ago, Sony opened its yearly Summer Sale promotion that offers irresistible deals on some of the biggest games on the PlayStation 4. Right now, players can get discounts for games such as Resident Evil 3 Remake, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, and more. Sony even recently added even more amazing games to the PlayStation Store's Summer Sale, which is scheduled to end on August 19.

Headlining the latest additions to the PlayStation Store's Summer Sale is Square Enix's remake of its classic game, Final Fantasy 7. Right now, players can purchase Final Fantasy 7 Remake for $39.59, which is 34% off its original price of $59.99. It is worth noting that Final Fantasy 7 Remake was just released last April, making this a must-get deal for those players who are interested to revisit Midgar in this full re-imagining of the iconic game.

Although the game has just been released for a few months, Final Fantasy 7 Remake is proving to be both a critical and commercial success for Square Enix. Just recently, the developer reported that Final Fantasy 7 has now sold over 5 million units. As for what's next for the Final Fantasy franchise, Square Enix revealed several weeks ago that the second part of Final Fantasy 7 Remake is already in active development.

Another new addition to the PlayStation Store's Summer Sale is Doom Eternal, which was first released last March. Players can now purchase Doom Eternal for the PlayStation 4 for $29.99, which is 50% off its original price of $59.99. Doom Eternal is a first-person shooter game developed by iD Software and published by Bethesda. Shortly after its release, Doom Eternal received favorable reviews from players and critics, with many praising the game for its classic brutal gameplay.

Additionally, Bethesda announced the first DLC campaign for Doom Eternal called The Ancient Gods: Part 1. This DLC expansion will have the Doomslayer traversing new locations while warding off several threats in an effort to restore balance to the heavens. Unfortunately, the teaser trailer for the expansion is light on details, but luckily for fans, a full reveal trailer of the DLC is scheduled to take place at the Gamescom Opening Night Live event on August 27 at 2 PM ET.
