With E3 2017 getting closer by the day, Sony has begun sending out invites to the media for its press briefing, confirming the time and date of its presence at the event. With this being the case, Sony has now officially revealed the date and time for its PlayStation press conference during the convention, which is set to take place on Monday, June 12, 2017 at 6:00 pm PT / 9:00 pm ET.
For those unaware, the address is officially titled the PlayStation E3 Media Showcase and it's the usual time slot reserved for the company's annual briefing at the event, which occurs ahead of the main conference. As far as its location is concerned, it will take place at the Shrine Auditorium and Expo Hall in Los Angeles, which is where it was held last year.
When it comes to Sony's competitors, Microsoft has moved its standard Monday briefing back to Sunday, June 11, 2017, in a likely bid to make room for both its game reveals and to highlight its Project Scorpio console. Interestingly enough, Microsoft's press conference this year will take place on the same date of Bethesda's E3 2017 showcase, which ought to make for an interesting comparison in wares.
Taking all of this into consideration, E3 2017 is undoubtedly one of the most exciting times of the year for gaming fans, so it will be interesting to see what kind of bombshell reveals Sony has in store for its fan base. After all, last year started out with a completely surprising reveal of the new God of War game, so Sony has definitely set the bar high for 2017.
