Building off of previous years, Sony's planning in-depth coverage of PlayStation titles announced or shown during E3 2017. The fun is only starting with the PlayStation Media Showcase, Sony's keynote event for E3, which begins on Monday, June 12, at 5:00pm PT. From there, Sony's will be offering live developer interviews, new and extended trailers, game demos and more on top of the press impressions coming from the show floor. Expect Sony to be live at E3 until the doors close in the afternoon on Thursday, June 15.

Sid Shuman, Social Media and PlayStation Blog Director for Sony, broke down the plan for in-house E3 coverage in a recent blog post. Like previous years, Sony will be hosting its own livestream throughout E3 where PlayStation fans will be able to see their fill of insider game coverage. Here's the full PlayStation Live from E3 2017:

  • Monday, June 12: PlayStation Live From E3 2017 featuring the PlayStation Media Showcase, 5:00 PM Pacific Time
  • Tuesday, June 13: PlayStation Live From E3 2017 programming, 12:00 PM to 6:00 PM Pacific Time
  • Wednesday, June 14: PlayStation Live From E3 2017 programming, 12:00 PM to 6:00 PM Pacific Time
  • Thursday, June 15: PlayStation Live From E3 2017 programming, 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM Pacific Time

The livestream will feature coverage of games shown during Sony's keynote, both new and old, as well as other titles coming to PlayStation platforms. Note that the blog mentions PlayStation 4 and PS VR platforms, but nothing regarding the PS Vita.

While most PlayStation fans will tune into the big E3 keynote livestream via Twitch, Youtube, or Facebook, Sony's once again offering something special for fans who want to experience something more special. Like last year, Sony's offering the PlayStation E3 Experience. The PlayStation E3 Experience is a special live showing of the PlayStation Media Showcase keynote in cinemas across North America. If you can't attend the keynote yourself, here's the next best thing. Locations will be announced in the next few weeks.

Sony's got something new for fans watching from home this year, too. If fans watch via live.playstation.com then they'll be able to complete "quests," likely involving visiting different game profiles and the like on the PlayStation website. Rewards for completing quests aren't revealed just yet, but are likely things like avatars or themes.

PlayStation Live from E3 2017 starts on Monday, June 12, with the PlayStation Media Showcase and will continue on throughout the week of E3. Stay tuned for more information in the weeks to come.
