Sony has more than its next console on its mind. The company has plenty of other gadgets in development, such as a possible PlayStation VR 2 and another designed to help beat the summer heat. The Sony Reon Pocket is an air conditioner that is both portable and wearable and is available now.

As temperatures continue to rise, it gets harder to stay cool, but thanks to the Sony Reon Pocket, that just got a bit easier. This little white box fits into the back of a special t-shirt and vents hot air out and away from the body, promising to help cool the wearer's body temperature down by as much as 23 degrees Fahrenheit. It can be controlled using a mobile app for iOS and Android devices, where temperatures can be adjusted. It can also be set to an automatic mode that uses temperature and motion sensors to detect activity and mood, then changes the cooling mode accordingly.

The Reon Pocket is also useful during the colder seasons, helping users to warm themselves up. The internal battery should last two to four hours, depending on how hard it's working. The device was revealed last summer and is now available to purchase. At the moment, it can only be found in Japan, through Sony's online store for around $120, or through Amazon Japan, where the price jumps a bit to $160. The special t-shirts run for $20 each.

On the subject of prices, Sony has yet to disclose a very important one on another of its products. The PlayStation 5 was officially revealed last month after a long wait. There was a lot shown at the special event, such as the design, accessories, and a plethora of games for the console. But there was one thing that was missing: the cost. That could change soon, however, as it is rumored that the upcoming PS5 price reveal could come as early as next week.
