Sonic Frontiers players will encounter dozens upon dozens of intriguing challenges while exploring the five main zones. In the first open zone, Kronos Island, there's a numbered challenge that might make players stumble a little bit. This Sonic Frontiers guide will show players how to complete the puzzle M-009, so they can reap the rewards and fully uncover the map.

Sonic Frontiers M-009 Puzzle Solution

Once players approach the M-009 puzzle sign, they'll see a strange stone structure on the ground that can be jumped on. Above it is a floating structure that can be climbed on; however, above this one is an even higher structure that seems impossible to reach. Players will need to get to the top of the floating platform way up in the sky, but how can they do it?

It may seem that players need to find a way to propel themselves up to the floating structure, but the solution is rather simple. Sonic Frontiers players simply need to perform a Cyloop around the structure that rests on the floor. Players can do a Cyloop by running and holding down the X button (Switch). It's the Y button for Xbox and the Triangle button on PS4/PS5. Once the loop is closed, release the button to activate the switch, and the structure will rise out of the ground, allowing players the chance to climb it.

Get to the top of the platform to find a lantern that can be extinguished by performing another Cyloop. Once players do that, the puzzle will be completed, and they can pick up a Red Seed of Power, which can be used to increase Sonic's power by giving them to Hermit Koko. A checkmark will also appear on the puzzle's flag, so players will know it's been wrapped up.

Players can also increase their defense by bringing Blue Seeds of Defense to Hermit Koko. Sonic's speed and coin limit can also be raised by bringing Koko to Elder Koko. Koko are these small little creatures that roam around the world and can be picked up by simply walking over them.

When players finish up the challenge, they can continue to explore Sonic Frontiers' open areas until they find the next puzzle, Chaos Emerald, or Cyber Space level.

Sonic Frontiers is available for PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
