In Sonic Frontiers' open-world areas, speed is the name of the game, and players will likely find the limited boost bar a little frustrating when running the length of the map to uncover all the missions and Cyberspace Stages an area has to offer.

Luckily, Sonic Frontiers has a way to break the limit on the Boost Guage and boost infinitely for a while, and it just requires players to have access to the Cyloop before it can be used to full effect. Exploring every inch of the Islands for missions and useful items is a fantastic way to power up Sonic and is also necessary for players to gain access to fast travel.

How To Get the Infinite Boost

After unlocking the Cyloop early in the game, players are able to perform the Infinite Boost at any point, making it ideal for navigating the Starfall Islands. Players simply need to draw a figure-eight, or an infinity symbol, with the Cyloop. Doing this replaces the limited boost gauge with an unlimited boost for a long period of time, allowing players to shoot off across the landscape at high speeds without needing to worry about running out of boost.

This can be especially useful when heading into fights with enemies that create a trail behind them for Sonic to run on, since he will need to boost for a long time to catch up and start attacking them directly. With infinite boost, players can drastically reduce the amount of time needed to take out some of these particularly tough foes.

If the boost runs out, players need only refresh the boost by drawing another infinity symbol with the Cyloop, and it is possible to do this even while already boosting. Drawing an infinity symbol while the infinite boost is active will refresh the duration, allowing players to have infinite boost at all times while exploring the open world.

Its worth noting that, since they occur in a part of the open world, players are able to activate the infinite boost by drawing an infinity symbol during Titan fights. This can be very handy for catching up with Titans, climbing up to the Chaos Emerald, and dodging incoming attacks from the Titans to great effect, though it ceases to be useful after Sonic gets hold of the Chaos Emerald due to the boss fight shifting in mechanics.

Sonic Frontiers is available for PS4, PS5, PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and Nintendo Switch.
