The popular webtoon Solo Leveling will be getting an anime adaptation. This exciting news has been met with great enthusiasm from fans as it has been frequently listed among series that sorely need an anime adaptation.

Written by Chugong, Solo Leveling is a webtoon series first serialized on KakaoPage in March 2018. Over the past years, the colored comic has garnered a large reader fanbase and is about to appear in the anime franchise.

The news of Solo Leveling's anime adaptation was first revealed at Crunchyroll’s Anime Expo 2022 Industry Panel. Reports also reveal that A-1 Pictures will handle the adaptation of the popular webtoon. The adaptation will be a collaboration between Crunchyroll & A-1 Pictures, as the show will premiere on the streaming platform. Alongside the news of the anime adaptation, Crunchyroll revealed an exciting PV to tease fans of the prospective anime.

Solo Leveling has been scheduled to premiere in 2023. The anime series will air on Crunchyroll and other notable streaming platforms. Furthermore, it will be available to watch in the following territories: Central America, South America, North America, Oceania, Africa, CIS, and the Middle East. Apart from the Solo Leveling anime release date & sensational trailer, an alluring key visual was also released, hinting at what fans can expect in the anime.

Reports also revealed the members of Solo Leveling anime production staff. The director of the anime production at A-1 Pictures will be Shunsuke Nakashige. Other crucial staff members include:

The author of "I Alone Level Up," the web novel Solo Leveling Webtoon, is based on, expressed his excitement at the fact that his webnovel will be animated. In a message from him, he said, “Since I'm still half-doubting that this is real, I want to see Jinwoo and the other characters get animated soon and feel relieved. I'll keep working diligently while looking forward to that day. (lol)

Solo Leveling’s plot revolves around Sung Jin-Woo, who was once mocked as the "World's Weakest Hunter." After he encounters the System – a means for maxing out his abilities, Jin-Woo begins his journey to become one of the strongest Hunters in the series. Solo Leveling heart-racing art style is one of the reasons the webtoon is popular. Consequently, as the anime has been announced, fans will be expecting an even better version of what they read on screens.
