Sniper Ghost Warrior Contracts 2 was released recently and continues the series' tradition of offering players large, open levels for them to locate and wipe out their targets. Although the sniping mechanics are the game's main attraction, exploring the well-designed open levels is also great fun. Moreover, there are many rewards for taking the time to explore each area, such as finding ideal sniping spots, spotting environmental hazards, and locating potential infiltration spots.
Another incentive for exploring each level is to find collectibles. Each level has a handful of collectibles to find, which either tell an interesting tale or provide further insight into an in-game character. Mount Kuamar is the game's second level and is one of two maps to feature ten collectibles.
In the pictures below, the collectible is located at the white dot within the blue cursor. Furthermore, the quoted descriptions are those that are unlocked when the collectible is found.
Fisherman And The Dead Donkey
The first collectible, Fisherman And The Dead Donkey, can be found on one of the level's jammers. Head to the jammer that's located where Raven is standing in the picture above, climb up the ladder, and it will be sat on the ground.
The Collectible's Description
"Once upon a time, there was a fisherman who was not successful in fishing, thus he and his family were starving. Once he fished out a dead donkey."
An Evil Ifrit
An Evil Ifrit is one of the toughest collectibles to obtain in Mount Kuamar, as it is located in the heart of an enemy base that is packed with patrolling enemies, snipers, heavy units, and CCTV. The collectible is located underneath a staircase, sat atop a brown box.
The Collectible's Description
"When the fisherman fished the genie container, at first the genie was so enraged after several centuries of containment that he was decided to kill whoever freed him, instead of rewarding them."
Duban Poisons The Pages In The Book
Duban Poisons The Pages In The Book is another tough collectible to obtain due to its placement within an enemy base. The collectible can be found within a small fenced area, sat on top of a large green box.
The Collectible's Description
"The fisherman decided to tell the genie a story. The story was about Duban, an exceptionally educated healer, who cured king Yunan of leprosy. Later, Duban was beheaded, due to conspiracy of Yunan's jealous vizier. However, Duban predicted that turn of events, so he managed to poison pages in a book which his severed head told the king later to read. The poison killed him. Duban's powers could be used for good and for bad, depending on the intention of the king."
A Peaceful Ifrit
A Peaceful Ifrit is located within the map's large underground base. It can be found in the center of a road littered with crates, on top of a brown crate with yellow writing.
The Collectible's Description
"Due to the fisherman's story the genie underwent a transformation and decided to use his knowledge and power for reasons different than before."
Pond With Colorful Fish
Pond With Colorful Fish is located in a heavily guarded base with numerous turrets, so like with every collectible on this list, the player should map out the area before heading to the pictured location. To find the collectible, head up the base's staircase and look for a green crate with yellow writing similar to the one from the previous entry.
The Collectible's Description
"The Fisherman's reward for freeing the genie was access to a pond with colorful fish he could sell for a great price to a sultan. Genie's actions provided wealth and resources for the development."
The Ensorcelled Prince
The Ensorcelled Prince is located on a small platform next to a ladder leading down to a stretch of water. The collectible is at the end of the platform, on top of a light brown crate.
The Collectible's Description
"Sultan was so intrigued by the colorful fish that he decided to find the fisherman's pond. He found a half-petrified prince along the way, the Ensorcelled Prince. The sultan's curiosity saved the prince."
Hellström's Notebook
Hellström's Notebook is located at ground level near to the enormous multi-story building known as the Citadel, where Lars Hellstrom can be found. The notebook is in a small office on a grey desk.
The Collectible's Description
"Hellström's Notebook. One of the pages says: Consult with Amaya Turrets projects - enhance the range Ammo - testing the target seeking options, optimize the weight/speed ration B. Rashida asked for what's next, we need to decide on the plan."
Hellström's Diary
Hellström clearly doesn't take much care with his belongings, as his diary can also be found lying around haphazardly. The diary is on level B2 of the Citadel, sat on a desk next to the wall of monitors.
The Collectible's Description
"Hellström's diary. One of the pages says: We still need to run the final tests on that security system. I think it might be a little flawed, a little too simple. I've always loved clean code, but lately my work seems barbaric, sloppy. Am I in a hurry? Maybe all I need is a little perspective. I miss my therapist..."
Officer's Notebook
The Officer's Notebook is located near to the large antenna that needs to be shot in the Sabotage The Main Antenna objective. The collectible is on a high, metal grated platform, atop a brown box partially covered with a green blanket.
The Collectible's Description
"Officer's notebook. One of the pages says: I was to go on holiday. Why won't they let me go see my family for some time. I know this is a super serious international business which deals with an unimaginable amount of money, but I don't expect to get more than a monthly pension. Which is not even that good. They won't even let me be a sinper. It's secluded and boring here."
Nakamura's Notebook
Nakamura's Notebook is the last collectible in Mount Kuamar and is fittingly one of the toughest to obtain. The area surrounding the notebook is dripping with enemies, so take extreme caution when venturing into the underground base at the location pictured above. The collectible is on top of a square crate sat near the room's center.
The Collectible's Description
"Nakamura's notebook. One of the pages says: He keeps telling me that I'm the security chief but can't stop himself from meddling. It's so ridiculously annoying. He's always changing something, always proposing (and applying!) his own solutions to issues which are my responsibility. I think I'm, the security chief only on paper. And because this Scandanavian b*****d needed a female to reach the quota."
