While a recent report has made the claim that Super Smash Bros. Ultimate's input lag is the franchise's worst yet, it's safe to say that most, if not all fans of Nintendo's crossover fighting game property are still enjoying the latest installment to its absolute fullest. Speaking of the series' popularity, the titles have managed to become a widespread phenomenon since their inception, and the most recent release has even inspired one filmmaker to team up with some professional stuntmen who have worked on movies in the Marvel Cinematic Universe to pay tribute to the games.

The video below comes from filmmaker Micah Moore (AKA Legend of Micah), and those taking a break from Super Smash Bros. Ultimate would do well to give his homage to the game a watch, as it contains plenty of solid costumes, prop work, special effects, editing tricks, and some downright immaculate stunt choreography. The high quality of the clip makes plenty of sense, as the stuntmen in question–Ben Aycrigg (Mario), Matt Scheib (Captain Falcon), Alex Hashioka (Link), and Tang Nguyen (Ness)–have worked on projects like Avengers: Endgame, Avengers: Infinity War, and The Walking Dead.

While the tribute from Moore only features a handful of Super Smash Bros. Ultimate's characters, the game itself is chock full of fighters from the annals of Nintendo and beyond. For instance, not only does it have iconic faces from the Big N like Mario and Luigi, but also other classic brawlers such as Street Fighter's Ryu and Ken make appearances. In fact, the total roster includes every single character ever made available in the Smash Bros. series and then some.

All things considered, Moore's live action paean to Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is just the latest example of how dedicated fans of the fighting game franchise can be, with the title reportedly having become the fastest-selling Switch title yet. With such a gargantuan list of characters to choose from, several new and returning game modes, as well as some of the most refined gameplay in the series' so far, it's no wonder why Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is bringing fans of all walks of life together to celebrate the game's arrival.

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is available now for Nintendo Switch.
