A dedicated fan has now created their content by manipulating the images of the famous fighters.

Gleed updated their Imgur library with incredibly timely images of the Super Smash Bros. Ultimate roster wearing face masks. Each fighter that is wearing the protective gear has emblems to match their franchise and is color-coded so that the mask blends with the character. This is fantastically detailed work and it is clear that plenty of time and effort has gone into making these images look like a natural addition to the characters.

Characters like Snake from the Metal Gear Solid franchise are well suited to the additional mask and they showcase the detail that has gone into this project as the mask has the alert signal emblem on it which is now color-matched with the character. There will be some fans that would like to see these masks in-game but they would likely have to come in the form of a fan-made mod as Nintendo seems to be working on new updates.
