The Pokemon Company has just announced that one of its first 150 pocket creatures, Slowpoke, is getting a whole product range of Pokemon food items. Being one of the Pokemon ambassadors for a specific region of Japan, the Slowpoke-themed collection of food products includes noodles, snacks, and condiments that fans can use in their culinary adventures. It is not unheard of for The Pokemon Company to have Pokemon ambassadors for certain prefectures in Japan. This has been going on in recent years, with the company working closely with the country's local government units to assign the best pocket creature representatives for their location. Just recently, a revamped Exeggutor-themed plane took to the skies in Japan's Miyazaki prefecture. And though Slowpoke has already been an ambassador for a while, fans are likely excited to see that the Pokemon's representation has remained strong with this new food item collection.RELATED: Pokemon is Releasing a Cute Pikachu-Shaped LampIn an official Twitter post, The Pokemon Company shared that Slowpoke will be getting a new lineup of food items as part of its ambassadorship for Japan's Kagawa prefecture. One of the product highlights includes Sanuki Udon, a local specialty in Kagawa. Given that the iconic Water/Psychic-type Pokemon Slowpoke is the prefecture's representative, it seems only right that one of the best-known food items from the area will be among the themed products. Fans who are interested in trying the noodles out will also be happy to know that they come in three different flavors such as plum, olive oil, and plain.

There are other items included in the Slowpoke food collection that fans might also find interesting, such as rice crackers, traditional sweets, rice toppings, soup broth, and even cooking ingredients like olive oil. Some of the snacks and sweets are shaped in the form of the Pokemon Slowpoke, while other items are wrapped in beautiful Slowpoke-centered packaging instead. Nevertheless, Pokemon fans who love the pocket creature will probably enjoy having these themed products in their own cupboards or kitchen.

Most of the products will be available for purchase by April 2023. However, much like its other Slowpoke Pokemon ambassador efforts and activities, the collaboration items can only be seen and bought in specific stores within the Kagawa prefecture of Japan. Unless The Pokemon Company decides to put these Pokemon food items up for sale through international channels, diehard fans of Slowpoke may have to find a legitimate proxy shopping service or actually visit the area to get their hands on them.
