Jump into adventure and exploration with Slime Rancher 2. This visually stunning chapter is the next step in Beatrix LaBeau's slime ranching endeavors. Players have a new island to traverse with treasurers and resources galore.

Wild Honey has made its return. Ranchers can use the sweet resource to fabricate items and upgrades that assist with farming or traveling the island. Located deep within Rainbow Island, getting Wild Honey calls for a few important steps before players can vac it up in Slime Rancher 2.

How to Farm Wild Honey

Ranchers will need the Resource Harvester upgrade to get Wild Honey. The Resource Harvester allows the Vacpack to suck up different natural resources found on Rainbow Island. The upgrade can be installed back on the Conservatory in the Lab. The Lab has the Refinery and the Fabricator, and both are used to craft upgrades and items. The blueprints for the Resource Harvester are accessed from the Fabricator and list all the required things. Players need the following:

• 450 Newbucks
• 10 Cotton Plorts

Earn the Newbucks by selling plorts at the Plort Market next to the Lab entrance. The Cotton Plorts must be inserted into the Refinery to transfer to the Fabricator. After ranchers gather all the materials and put them in place, they can install the Resource Harvester and start the search for Wild Honey.

Where to Find Wild Honey

Wild Honey isn't in Rainbow Fields, and players will first have to unlock the portal to Starlight Strand. The portal is only revealed after players make the Cotton Gordo slime explode. Gordo slimes are large, unmoving slimes made from normal-sized slimes all pressed together. The Cotton Gordo is found on the southwest side of Rainbow Fields, past the Refinery Link. Feed it about 30 or more vegetables to make it pop; it is sitting in front of a cave entrance that contains the portal activation switch. The portal will appear as a bright, shining, iridescent light. To travel to Starlight Strand, ranchers just need to step inside it.

Starlight Strand is a mix of blue and red environments split by the ocean. There are many unique things for players to discover. Furthermore, wild Honey is found all around the island, hanging from trees in beehives. However, don't get these mixed up with Buzz Wax hives. The main difference between the two is Wild Honey has a yellow honey substance dripping from it all around it, and Buzz Wax is plain brown.

Slime Rancher 2 is available in Early Access on PC and Xbox Series X/S.
