Since its release back in 2011, players have had no shortage of things to do in Skyrim. Beyond completing the main story, the game includes many other side quests and secrets to uncover in its expansive open world. Furthermore, a virtual reality version was released in 2018 that lets fans of the base game get an even more immersive experience.

Known as Skyrim VR, this version of the game utilizes a virtual reality headset to allow players to play the game with an even greater sense of scale and depth. In addition, players can control various in-game movements through motion controls. Recently, one player showed off a particularly unusual way to play the virtual reality version of the classic title.

Taking to Reddit, a user known as CaliWuv shared a video from their recent time playing Skyrim VR. While there have been numerous clips shared with the gaming community of fans playing Skyrim, this one stood out because the Reddit user had decided to play golf inside the virtual game. Or at least they came up with the closest thing to golf that they could think of in the VR version of Skyrim.

In the video, CaliWuv was seen holding an oar while standing next to a dead body in Skyrim. Interestingly, the player took the oar back like they were making a backswing with a golf club. They proceeded to do this several times in a row while standing over the corpse as if they were lining up a golf shot. Finally, they swung the oar, hitting the dead body. Impressively, the force of the blow sent the corpse flying through the air for a considerable distance. Adding to the comedic effect, the player raised one of their virtual hands to block the sun as they watched where their shot had gone.

Unsurprisingly, numerous members of the Skyrim community on Reddit have noticed this hilarious video captured by CaliWuv. Since posting the clip a day ago, it has accumulated over 30.9K upvotes. Among the comments, many liked the ingenuity of the player to make a game within a game. In addition, some tried to offer suggestions on how to improve the gamer’s form. "Keep that left arm straight!" Unhappy-Sink-6517 suggested. Furthermore, other users liked how the player used their hand to block out the glare of the sun after hitting the shot.

While it might be hard to top this golfing clip shared by CaliWuv, it is far from the only unusual experience shared by fans in the open world of Skyrim over the last couple of weeks. For example, one player recently captured a clip of a room overflowing with Elder Scrolls. As players continue to play the both the standard and VR version of Skyrim, it will be interesting to see what other videos are shared with the community in the weeks ahead.
