Some of Bethesda's silly E3 2018 moments may have been met with dead air from the audience, but there's no denying that everyone loved the Skyrim: Very Special Edition skit. Apparently, the concept was more than just a skit though...

Bethesda was poking fun at itself for releasing Skyrim on so many different consoles over the years and created a trailer for Skyrim on the Amazon Alexa. The gag played incredibly well, but nobody seemed to think it was actually a real product. Amazon Alexa owners have since realized the game does exist and can be played right now on the device.

"Bethesda Game Studios is proud to present Skyrim... for Alexa. Yes, that’s right, the version of Skyrim you never saw coming has finally arrived on the platform you never asked for... For the very first time ever, take your rightful place as the Dragonborn of legend (again) and explore Skyrim using the power of your own voice...your Thu’um!"

We'll be exploring the new Alexa Skill today and reporting back with how our adventure went. Hopefully we can avoid any arrows to the knees this time around.

Unfortunately, at this point it does seem like the Etch-a-Sketch and smart fridge versions were just a joke though. At least for now...

Check back throughout the week for more news and updates on everything happening at E3 2018.

Skyrim: Very Special Edition is available now on Amazon Alexa.
