An Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim player has managed to get their Two-Handed skill to level 100, but they did so by murdering their child's pet rabbit. Skyrim has a variety of skills that players can improve by practicing them in the game world, with the Two-Handed skill governing weapons that require two hands to wield.

Skyrim players that want to level up their Two-Handed skill will want to use two-handed weapons in combat as much as possible. Attacking enemies with two-handed weapons long enough will eventually level the skill up all the way to 100, though it can also be upgraded by attacking friendly characters as well. In fact, some Skyrim players use this knowledge to level up their Sneak skill to 100 without ever leaving the starting area as the game lets them attack the NPC Hadvar as much as they'd like with no real consequences for their actions.

Hadvar is immortal in this Skyrim tutorial section, but the same can't be said for pet bunny Cotton. If Skyrim players choose to adopt children, their child may bring home a pet rabbit named Cotton. For reasons unexplained, Reddit user AdPossible430 decided to kill Cotton with a two-handed weapon, and while they robbed their child of their pet, the horrific act was enough to bump their Two-Handed skill to level 100. According to AdPossible430, this is the first skill they've ever managed to level up to 100 in the game.

Some players would prefer to reach level 100 with combat skills after a great battle. After all, Skyrim has dragons, bandits, and all sorts of other formidable foes to fight, so some might think it's quite underwhelming to reach level 100 by killing an innocent pet rabbit.

It will be interesting to see if the upcoming Elder Scrolls 6 employs a similar leveling system as Skyrim's or if it goes in a completely different direction. Leveling up skills by actually utilizing them in-game has always been a popular leveling mechanic, and it's safe to say many Elder Scrolls fans would be sad to see it go. Details about The Elder Scrolls 6's leveling system and gameplay in general are unlikely to come for at least another couple of year, though, so fans shouldn't hold their breath for new information any time soon.

Right now, Bethesda is focused on launching Starfield, which looks like a version of The Elder Scrolls or Fallout, but in space. The Elder Scrolls 6 is Bethesda's next game after Starfield, but fans of the franchise will have to stick with Skyrim in the meantime.
