Sometimes, games like The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim can seem so vast, so detailed, and so full of life that it's almost a shame that they exist in fictional worlds. Some people are willing to pull aspects of the game out into the real world, such as the fan who made a realistic version of the map of the Province of Skyrim. However, some like to go that bit further and actually act the game out, as these fast food workers did during one of their shifts.

Uploading a series of short videos to TikTok, user and Skyrim fan Caleb Janssen showed what he and some of his Chick Fil-A colleagues got up to one shift, when they decided to turn the restaurant and its back areas into a living version of the game. While the place remained as is, and everyone stayed in their uniforms, there were a couple of people who donned what look like empty boxes of fries and cardboard as some form of makeshift armor.

The result is a hilarious take on the Elder Scrolls epic, in which the user operating the camera, presumably Jenssen, assumes the role of the player and moves about the restaurant talking to the other NPCs. One shows the user "sneaking" into the back to steal an item before being approached. Their colleague seemingly takes on the role of a guard, who, in true Skyrim fashion, loses the "player" when they go into sneak mode. It's one of many memorable aspects of the game, although there's no mention of the "arrow to the knee" cliché that Elder Scrolls 5 was once famous for.

It seems that other people on social media are also keen to bring the fantasy world to life. Recently, some college students showed what Skyrim would look like played out in their dorms, with people assuming the role of the denizens perturbed by their studies and their professors. Much like this TikTok, it shows just how funny real life would be if everybody spoke and behaved like NPCs from a Bethesda game.

The fan base is full of amusing people who are perhaps kicking their heels until the next installment, but also showing their love for this ten-year-old title. Given that The Elder Scrolls 6 is unlikely to be out until perhaps 2023, the community will have to keep entertaining itself in the meantime. However, what these Chick Fil-A employees have shown is that there is still so much fun to be had with Skyrim.

The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim is available on PC, PS3, PS4, Switch, Xbox 360, and Xbox One, with PS5 and Xbox Series X versions also in development.
