A fan of The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim somehow managed to level up the sneak skill to 100 before leaving the opening area of Helgen. Skyrim gives players a lot of freedom in how they want to play the game. Users can choose from a variety of weapons and spells that suit their playstyle, including the ability to stealthily take out enemies.

The sneak skill tree comes with many useful benefits, such as making it harder for enemies to detect the player. It also offers combat-focused bonuses like increased bow damage while sneaking around and being able to step on pressure plates without triggering them. This ability is especially useful when exploring the various dungeons in Skyrim. While it may take users some time to level up the sneak skill, one fan managed to max it out before leaving the tutorial level.

A Reddit user named Wreck556 shares an image confirming that they leveled up the sneak skill in Skyrim to 100 in Helgen. As explained in one of the comments, Wreck556 is using a trick to quickly level up the skill without facing any consequences. The method used is relatively simple, as players need to crouch and attack Hadvar until they achieve the desired level. Hadvar doesn’t attack back, allowing players to level up without taking part in a battle.

A Skyrim fan claims that this strategy can also be utilized to level up other skills including two-handed, destruction, and block. It seemingly allows gamers to over-level in the opening area of the game without any inhibitions. Another Skyrim player used a similar trick to hit level 241 before leaving Helgen, so it appears that this exploit is fairly well-known within the community.

One user mentions that they prefer playing the PC version of Skyrim as it gives them access to console commands. Here, players can alter various aspects of the game by simply typing the appropriate command. On the other hand, the poster Wreck556 claims that it’s way more satisfying to play the game without using console commands, before confirming that this trick didn’t even take them 30 minutes to pull off.

Gamers interested in using such methods should note that there are several easy ways to level up the various skills in the game. As an example, one Skyrim fan leveled up the lockpicking ability by tying a cord to the controller, as they continuously broke lockpicks without having to enter any manual inputs.

The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim - Anniversary Edition is out now for PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
