Come October, The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim will be celebrating its tenth anniversary. Given that it's been around for years, and that it's been ported to countless systems, many would be forgiven for thinking that there was nothing left to see in the game. However, Skyrim still has so many secrets and hidden gems to offer, not only in terms of things to do, but also things to see as well. One player discovered an oddity in the game, when, during a wedding ceremony, they noticed some unusual guests had turned up.
Uploading a screenshot from the game to the Skyrim subreddit recently, user snoopynoopers02 was surprised to see worshipers of Molag bal had attended the player's own wedding. The image shows them, dressed in their traditional black garbs, simply watching the events unfold, seemingly not looking to cause issues or disturb the peace, but just there to observe. One person was quick to point out that not only were there Daedric worshipers in the image, but in the background was a seemingly random, half-naked woman. It seems as if this wedding was a honeypot for unusual attendees.
For those who are perhaps not too familiar with the lore of The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim, Molag bal is a Daedric Prince and is known as the god of dominance. Followers of Molag bal are referred to as "Minions" who have passed an initiation to enter his domain, whereupon they have been sent back to Tamriel. Players can find a shrine to the Prince in the abandoned house in Markarth, to the west side of the map.
The user's screenshot of the wedding crashers has inspired other people in the Reddit thread to unveil similar incidents that they've encountered. One person said that even though they'd completed every Skyrim quest, made friends with all the Jarls, and was Thane of every hold, their wedding was only attended by a single miner who they encountered once during a side quest.
One other user commented that the Skyrim companion Lydia had ceased to follow them on their quests. Later on in the game, it appears that Lydia did turn up to this person's wedding, only as a corpse lying dead on the ground. Given just how old the game is at this point, it's clear that if players want to experience something unusual, or perhaps unique to their playthrough, they should simply arrange to get married and see who shows up to the ceremony.
