The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim has been in the gaming sphere for well over a decade now, but it's still pulling in the players. In fact, there are many who look at Bethesda's 2011 epic RPG with nostalgic eyes, remembering the first time they saw that open cutscene or that first fight with a dragon. However, over the years, it seems that many are eagerly awaiting the next installment, so in the meantime, players are keeping themselves amused in a number of ways.

One of those ways is through murder. Take Reddit user ToTheSovngardeAndBac, who recently decided that they'd had enough of one particular Skyrim NPC, namely Heimskr of Whiterun. In a recent clip, the player can be seen standing some distance from the loud priest and then firing an arrow high into the air. Upon approaching the public speaker, the user stands still for a few seconds, and before Heimskr can finish their spiel, said arrow comes hurtling down to the ground, killing them instantly.

For those who are perhaps less familiar with the game, Heimskr is one of the most annoying characters within Skyrim. His loud ramblings in the street have caused some headaches over the years, it seems. However, not everyone would agree with this sentiment. A few people commenting in the Reddit thread do feel sorry for the priest, adding that they don't find him particularly irksome. In fact, one person even said that they actually quite like him, enjoying his preaching as they make their way through the city.

This is also not the first time ToTheSovngardeAndBac has pulled off a trick shot like this. Recently, they also showed a video of them killing Skyrim's Nazeem NPC with a high arrow, similarly to this current example. Unlike Heimskr, however, who does seem to divide the fan base, Nazeem is pretty unanimously hated by the community. This anger aimed at this particular Whiterun resident stems from his being overly stuffy and condescending to the player, and many have felt no shame in offing the Redguard with barely a thought.

Given that The Elder Scrolls 6 is allegedly still in ore-production, it could be a long time before Bethesda unleashes the next entry in the long-running RPG franchise. However, it looks as though Skyrim fans are still finding things to do in this version of Tamriel, but it's likely that many are starting to grow impatient and would much prefer some details about progress on TES6.

The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim is available now for PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox 360, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
