A fan of The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim cast Illusion magic on a bandit and heard unique dialogue after hanging out with her. Skyrim features an extensive magic system that lets users fully customize their builds and personalize their playthrough. Magic spells can also be cast with both hands, which increases their effectiveness and can sometimes lead to unique effects.

There are various schools of magic in Skyrim, with the primary spells being centered around Conjuration, Alteration, Illusion, Destruction, and Restoration. Each magic school has a unique skill tree that gives players access to different spells and abilities. This includes both active and passive bonuses, and players can unlock some powerful skills as they continue to invest in a particular tree. Now, one player makes creative use of a spell from the Illusion school of magic.

A Reddit user named actuallylikespitbull shared an image of them hanging out with a bandit in The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim. Actuallylikespitbull mentioned that they sometimes use the Calm spell on these enemies and spend time with them. This may lead to some interesting and funny conversations, as the bandit in this case talks about her mother. The enemy turned friend said that their mother warned her to never let her guard down and expressed how much she misses her.

In one of the comments, actuallylikespitbull shared the story that led to this incident. The user made all the corsairs on a ship kill each other by casting Fury, and the bandit from the post was the only one who survived. Actuallylikespitbull then decided to spare her out of respect for her power and strength. The player mentioned that they love performing similar feats throughout their playthrough, and gave other examples of how they messed with the NPCs of Skyrim.

It appears that players are shocked to learn that bandits have other lines when they are not trying to kill the Dragonborn. According to one user, gamers should try playing as a stealth character to hear several more interesting lines of dialogue. Some players express regret over killing bandits in Skyrim, while others appear to enjoy traumatizing them by leaving a survivor to tell the tale.

Users wanting to recreate this can unlock the Calm spell from the Illusion skill tree. Upon casting it, enemies up to level 9 stop fighting for 30 seconds. Players can further increase its effectiveness by unlocking various perks, allowing them to use it on higher-level enemies.
