Bethesda Softworks released Skyrim back in 2011, but the title continues to find new fans thanks to newer iterations of the game. One fan recently created an impressive new armor concept based around the Daedric Prince of dark and shadowy spirits, Namira.

Spotted by PCGamesN, Reddit user Saalazart recently shared their Champion of Namira armor concept. The concept included a rough sketch of the skeleton of the armor in addition to a fully realized suit of armor. The concept effectively represents Namira from The Elder Scrolls franchise, looking like something straight out of Skyrim.

Saalazart's Champion of Namira armor concept features the rotting flesh and bones typically associated with the Daedric spirit. The helmet covers the character's face and it has a distinctly lifeless look to its dark eyes and creepy grin. The torso and limbs of the Daedric armor look like exposed bones and decaying flesh, but the shoulders, boots, and green cloth buckled on with a golden medallion stand out as the protected parts of this particular armor set.

Saalazart is a digital artist who has a history of doing projects revolving around The Elder Scrolls franchise. Previously, this artist has created various Dark Elves, Dagoth Ur, demons, and Guar. The Champion of Namira armor concept is Saalazart's latest piece and it has garnered a big reaction on Reddit.

Although the project is starting as art pieces like this, Saalazart plans to create mods that include armor sets like this Champion of Namira. Saalazart intends on creating mods for Skyrim players to represent their artwork in-game in the winter, but between now and then they plan to continue creating new concepts. The artist specifically intends on creating more armor concepts based around the Daedric characters from The Elder Scrolls franchise.

Saalazart specified that they wanted the Champion of Namira armor to look ancient and worn. This is a theme that they intend to maintain with potential future armor concepts they create. Other Daedric characters that this artist may emulate in the future include Azura, Boethiah, Nocturnal, and Vaermina.

Namira is from the dark plane of existence known as Oblivion which the latest Elder Scrolls Online expansion is focused around. Namira is known to many characters in The Elder Scrolls universe as the Mistress of Decay and the patron of Tamriel's cannibals. This Daedra spirit is worshipped by some, but she's typically linked with spiders, insects, slugs, and other typically repulsive creatures.

The Elder Scrolls 6 is still a long way from release, but Saalazart continues to find ways to celebrate the series. Based on the feedback, many fans of the franchise are hoping for a mod to include the Champion of Namira armor set before the next game releases. Both Oblivion and Skyrim have references to Namira but it remains to be seen if The Elder Scrolls 6 will revisit the Daedric character.

Skyrim is available right now for Nintendo Switch, PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
