Not too long ago, a rather ambitious mod project for The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim was announced, with the creation involving a multi-team effort to mod the entirety of Tamriel into Bethesda's 2011 fantasy-RPG. While this is definitely a laudable, if not daunting endeavor, the game also features a wide variety of smaller, but fun fan-made works. One such product from the modder known simply as "gg77" falls into this category, as they decided that the open world title lacks the proper amount of horsepower, so they made a mod that adds a motorcycle to the game.

According to the project's description, The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim mod in question is a motorcycle made of Dwarven materials, with gg77 having designed the vehicle to be "essential", meaning that it cannot be destroyed no matter how much wear and tear players put it through. What's more is that the mod lets one choose how it should sound, with players being able to pick between the standard Dwarven machinery noises, or an actual motorcycle engine.

With gg77's Dwarven Motorcycle looking as if it runs at a quick, and relatively stable clip, it's safe to presume that myriad Skyrim players will jump at the chance to trade in their horse for a hog like this one as soon as possible. After all, gg77's mod should give lots of Skyrim fans yet another reason to dive back into the game's open world, especially since the vehicle seems to have enough get-up-and-go to negate the use of fast travel in some cases.

Of course, while PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One owners are able to take advantage of mods in Skyrim, it's worth noting that Nintendo fans aren't even offered the chance, as the Switch version likely won't get mod support any time soon. That said, there's always The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild's The Champions’ Ballad DLC, which incorporated a similar concept in Link's Master Cycle Zero.

The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim is available for Nintendo Switch, PC, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, and Xbox One.
