Skyrim allows the player to take on the role of a mighty hero, and a recent mod will make the Dragonborn even more powerful with a ridiculous tweak to one of the game's most famous Shouts. While many are now eagerly awaiting the release of Starfield while also hoping for any information on the elusive Elder Scrolls 6, a lot of fans are still being entertained by the fifth entry in the iconic Bethesda fantasy series.

Along with a huge open world to explore, plenty of quests and NPCs, deep lore that stretches across the franchise, and the opportunity to live a peaceful life in a small village, Skyrim is famous for its Shouts. For those who aren't familiar with the game, Shouts are powers that are bestowed upon the player, giving them unique abilities like being able to push enemies back, force a dragon to land during a battle, or summon help. But as with many things in the game, some people like to tinker with them.

A recent example comes from Nexus Mods user Acure8, who's given the world "Fus Ro Diculous," a mod for Skyrim that makes a few changes to the first Shout players get. Tweaking Unrelenting Force, the modder has made this particular Shout hugely overpowered by any standards, to the point where it's almost silly. As well as removing the cooldown period between each Shout, players will also be granted double the power for the first phase, five times the power for the second, and 10 times for the third. A video on the download page shows it in action, with the player easily able to knock back a horde of Giants like they were nothing more than paper dolls.

Unsurprisingly, this is not the first mod that messes around with the game's unique Shout mechanic. Another modder was able to add 19 more Shouts to Skyrim, giving players way more choice than in the vanilla experience. But what Acure8 has focused on instead is the "Fus Ro Dah" power that pretty much every TES5 fan is familiar with by now.

With its depictions of violence and gore, Skyrim is definitely more suited for mature gamers, but that hasn't stopped younger people from adventuring across this Tamriel province. The game itself is still enjoying a rather lengthy shelf life, even pulling in newcomers more than 11 years after its original launch, and it's largely the modding community that's helping with this longevity.

The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim - Anniversary Edition is out now for PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
