One of the most engaging aspects of The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim is the large variance of creatures for players to encounter and fight against. With a cacophony of different monsters that appear throughout different regions of Skyrim, players are guaranteed to run into enemy monsters at some point. Although, one of the most irksome, yet often times hilarious, monsters that players can fight are giants.

While there is a significant amount of lore surrounding Skyrim's giants, what many players likely remember about giants is there ability to send players flying through the air after having the giant slam their club on the ground. This glitch often occurs after the giant has killed the player, making giants rather difficult enemies to fight against, especially at lower levels. However, thanks to a mod, one player has found an ingenious workaround.

A Reddit user named Kadraeus downloaded a Skyrim mod that allows the player to pull out a club identical to the size and shape of the clubs the giants carry around. The player then proceeds to hit the giant into the sky, similar to how giants typically send players up into the sky whenever they swing their clubs directly down on the player.

Not only does this serve as an excellent example of comeuppance, but it also illustrates how much of Skyrim influences its community of fans. It's clear that plenty of players have had similar encounters where giants hit them so hard they get sent flying into the air, to the point where an entire mod was inspired by it. The fact that Skyrim players are still referencing the 'arrow to the knee' joke a full ten years after the game's initial release goes to show how much of an impact Skyrim has had on so many players.

It's amazing how much longevity Skyrim has managed to maintain, despite its age. Very few other games can claim to have held a captive audience for ten years. The fact that Skyrim Anniversary Edition has received so much attention and success shows just how prevalent Skyrim still is in the hearts and minds of so many members of the gaming community.

In any case, it will be interesting to see what the future holds for The Elder Scrolls series going forward. Given Skyrim's ongoing popularity, it's clear that The Elder Scrolls 6 has some enormous shoes to fill. Though, the lack of any sort of development update from Bethesda has been rather odd for some players. With any luck, new information regarding the development of The Elder Scrolls 6 will be released soon.

The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim Anniversary Edition is out now for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
