Part of what makes The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim so captivating for most players is how expansive it is. With so much terrain to explore and secrets to uncover, it's easy for first-time Skyrim players to miss out on a lot of hidden in-game content. Luckily, one fan has created an easier way to track down secret treasure chests in the game.
Skyrim is home to a bunch of secrets and locations that can easily go overlooked during any player's initial playthrough of the game, whether that's specific dungeons or characters or side-quests. But perhaps the easiest gameplay component players have the potential to miss is the multitude of treasure chests featured throughout Skyrim. Now, thanks to one user, in particular, a map exists that helps players find hidden treasure chests much easier.
A Reddit user by the name of Marlusa91 encountered a map made by another user named XxtacoeaterxX that has the locations of hidden chests circled in yellow across a map of Skyrim. Marlusa91 was then gracious enough to indicate locations of chests that they knew using a red circle. This map should hopefully help new players when exploring different regions like Riften and Markarth
It's amazing to see the community of fans come together to help fellow players in terms of discovering content hidden throughout Skyrim. What's interesting is that only the general area where the chest is located is circled and not specifically told. This should help to preserve the feeling of exploration and discovery while playing Skyrim. That way, players can travel to places like Solitude or Dawnstar and explore at their leisure, while also knowing that there are chests located somewhere in the general vicinity.
The fact that Skyrim released nearly a decade ago and still manages to possess an active and loving player base is quite the achievement. Last year, Skyrim fans celebrated the game's 9-year anniversary by posting a ton of different posts meant to honor and celebrate the game. That is a true show of dedication for the game.
It will be interesting to see how well The Elder Scrolls 6 compares to Skyrim. Seeing as how long Skyrim has continued to persist in popularity and how many platforms Skyrim has made an appearance on. Given how little information there currently is regarding The Elder Scrolls 6, it's hard to know how much success the new game will receive once it finally releases. With any luck, new information regarding the upcoming Elder Scrolls installment will be made known soon.
