As far as Skyrim companions go, the most well-known is Lydia. Skyrim players obtain Lydia as a companion after completing the Dragon Rising main quest, and can even go on to marry her if they so desire. Lydia is the subject of countless memes, often revolving around her promise to carry the Dragonborn's burdens, only to wind up getting in the player's way. Even though Lydia can be a headache sometimes, she remains one of Skyrim's most-recognizable and popular characters.

Lydia, like other Skyrim companions, can sometimes get separated from the Dragonborn and wind up lost. That's exactly what happened with Skyrim player CitizensofWhiterun's Lydia, and so they eventually decided to teleport to her location and figure out exactly where she had gone. But upon arriving at Lydia's location, the CitizensofWhiterun found Lydia in a rather strange and unexpected location.

After teleporting to Lydia using a PC console command, CitizensofWhiterun found that she was actually shut in a cell in the Dragonsreach dungeon. In Lydia's cell, CitizensofWhiterun finds a corpse, a cot, a locked cell door, and not much else. It's not clear exactly how Lydia wound locked up in the Dragonsreach dungeon, but the general consensus seems to be that it was due to a bug of some kind.

Considering the bizarre location Lydia was stuck in, it's seems highly unlikely that CitizensofWhiterun would have ever been able to find her without using console commands. Unfortunately, this is only possible with the PC version of Skyrim, so those playing on PlayStation, Xbox, or other platforms will have to scour the entirety of Skyrim's massive open world map to find their missing companions, wherever they may be.

Something else of interest spotted in CitizensofWhiterun's video is a goat named Hilda, which many Skyrim fans seemed to be confused about upon watching it. The goat is part of the Pets of Skyrim content featured in Skyrim - Anniversary Edition, and is just one of a handful of other animals that players can bring with them on their adventures as sort of bonus companions. Each animal has a different skill they bring to the table, with the goat making it so the Dragonborn can carry more items.

The recently released Skyrim - Anniversary Edition incorporates even more Creation Club content into the game, like fishing and Morrowind armor. Anyone interested can upgrade their copy of Skyrim - Special Edition for a mere $20, or they can pay full price to get the Anniversary Edition outright if they don't already own a different version of Skyrim.

The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim - Anniversary Edition is out now for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
