One of the things that is helping to keep The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim so alive, apart from its epic story, explorable open world, and meme potential, is the modding community. There are simply a plethora of custom-made additions to the game. While some may tweak it here and there, others add new quests, while some mods for the Bethesda RPG completely change the game. And then there are those people who decide that what the world actually needs, is assets from a completely different franchise all-together.

Uploading the files to Nexusmods a few days ago, modder and Skyrim fan Nyehehe has decided to add something, or rather someone, into the game that is in no way linked to the lore. Namely, this addition is Lady Dimitrescu from Resident Evil 8. The user said that they tried to recreate the "Vampire Lady" as faithfully as they could, but are aware that it's not 100% accurate. However, a quick glimpse at the images will not fool anyone into thinking that it could be anyone but the tall matriarch from the world-famous horror series.

Nyehehe also goes on to say that they don't intend to make the character a follower similar to Lydia. They admit that it's largely because they don't really know how. In any case, it's an impressive-looking character model, and it will likely please fans of both Skyrim and the latest Resident Evil installment. What's intriguing about the model is that she's designed from numerous other mods. Her eyes come from a mod called Kayla's Eyes, and her outfit was created by another user called Jinxxed0, while her eyebrows are taken from vanilla Skyrim.

The 9ft villain is arguably one of the most memorable aspects of RE8. The internet went into a lustful meltdown when Capcom first unveiled her at the beginning of the year, and fans have gone to the trouble of cosplaying as Lady D. With that, it was inevitable that someone was bound to import her image into another game, and a title like Skyrim is simply rife for fan-made add-ons.

The Elder Scrolls 5 has so many incredible mods, it can be difficult to know which ones are the best. The game's popularity does not seem to be waning despite being a decade old, and that is partly down to the fan community. Nyehehe's Lady D mod is just one of many that have helped keep the epic title going strong for all these years.

The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim is available now on PC, Switch, PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, and Xbox One. The next-generation Skyrim Anniversary Edition will release on November 11th, 2021.
