The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim has numerous characters that players will meet on their journey. The game's world is filled with encounters throughout its villages, cities, and wilderness. Skyrim will force gamers to be personable as they live up to the name Dragonborn and make their way through the country.

The characters include the large number of NPCs in Skyrim, characters who will give information, provide challenges, and more. While there are a number of different types of characters populating the game, there are a finite number of character models. One gamer found this out while exploring Skyrim's world.

A Redditor known as Arrav_VII posted an image of an encounter that they had while playing Skyrim. In the image it can be seen that the gamer came across an Imperial Soldier with a unique handlebar mustache. The character speaks about becoming a soldier to take on Skyrim's Stormcloaks, but that most of their family does not agree with the decision. However, standing right next to him is another Imperial Soldier who looks just like him. The two could easily be twins, and it leads to a funny encounter between the NPC and the player.

The comment section for Arrav_VII's post seems to love the image that was uploaded. Many mention the fact that the soldier said most of his family disagreed with him joining the army, and joke that the other NPC was his twin brother that agreed with him. A user jokes that the twin brother did this in order to make the soldier's choice more bearable. Another commenter is also enjoying the fact that the gamer's steed is sitting in the background seemingly indifferent to the situation. It is a humorous and unexpected encounter for a Skyrim player to experience while exploring the game's world.

Arrav_VII's encounter with the Imperial Soldiers is not the only funny situation that a player gotten into with NPCs. A Redditor going by the name Huge_Best_World_Hero uploaded a clip that shows what happens at Skyrim's The Bannered Mare if the owner dies. In the video we see the gamer shoot and kill the tavern's owner, Hula, with a bow and arrow. As soon as she dies an NPC named Ysolda will express her shock, and then immediately stand behind the counter as if she now owns the tavern. Huge_Best_World_Hero can even speak to her as the owner of The Bannered Mare. It is hilarious to see the transfer of power between the two characters being so quick, happening with very little concern.

The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim is available now for PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
