Perhaps the most beloved member of The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim community is Shirley Curry, affectionately known to fans as Skyrim Grandma. Curry regularly uploads videos of her Skyrim adventures, kicking off each video with her catchphrase, "Good morning, grandkids." Curry's fame in the Skyrim community saw her featured at a PAX East 2022 panel last month, where she answered questions about The Elder Scrolls 6, Starfield, and more.

As reported by Rock Paper Shotgun, a fan asked Curry what she would say to Bethesda's Todd Howard if given the chance. Curry revealed that she would ask Howard to hurry and finish The Elder Scrolls 6. "I want to play it before I die," she explained. It remains to be seen exactly when The Elder Scrolls 6 will be available, but the game is likely years away from release. After all, Bethesda is currently hard at work on sci-fi RPG Starfield, which isn't going to release until some point in early 2023.

As far as Starfield itself goes, Curry is apparently uncertain if she will bother playing Bethesda's next big game or not. Starfield's release date was originally scheduled for November 11, 2022, which is a significant date for Bethesda as Skyrim itself launched on November 11, 2011. However, Starfield's release date has since been delayed to 2023 so Bethesda can make sure the game lives up to fans' lofty expectations. Skyrim has set the bar incredibly high, so it will likely take a lot to impress Curry and other fans of Bethesda's work.

In the meantime, if Curry wants to talk to Todd Howard, one would think she would have a better chance of getting in touch with him than most people. Bethesda and Curry seem to have a strong relationship, with Bethesda sending Curry flowers and a gift package after her stroke. Not only that, but Bethesda is actually going to include Curry in The Elder Scrolls 6 as an NPC, though details on Curry's character will likely have to wait until we're closer to the game's release.

Those that don't want to wait until The Elder Scrolls 6 to go on an adventure with Curry should note that there is a Skyrim mod that adds Curry to the game as a follower. It will be interesting to see if that option will be available to players when The Elder Scrolls 6 launches, or if Curry will be a more passive NPC instead.

The Elder Scrolls 6 is in development.
