As players make their way across the world of Skyrim, they will encounter numerous characters that are willing to be their followers. One of those characters is a goblin named Gogh, and he is freely available to all owners of Skyrim Anniversary Edition. For those players that are interested in enlisting Gogh's services, this guide details where to find this goblin follower and exactly how to recruit him.
Skryim: How to Get a Goblin Follower
Before a player attempts to find the goblin follower in Skyrim, they should visit the Creation Club and make sure that they have the Goblins Creation installed. As previously noted, this Creation is included with the Anniversary Edition, and fans can access the Creation Club through the game’s main menu. Once the Goblins Creation has been confirmed as installed, players should make their way to the Bee and Barb in Riften and read the Letter to Clexius, which is on a dresser in a room upstairs.
Reading this letter will initiate a quest called Blue in the Face, and it will lead players to a dungeon called Gromm’s Pass. For full clarity, this cave is near Lost Tongue Overlook, which is in the mountains southeast of Riften, and a quest waypoint should take fans directly to it. Upon entering Gromm’s Pass, players will encounter a number of goblins in Skyrim, and they should dispatch these foes and ultimately kill the Blue God to progress the associated quest.
With the Blue God slain, Skyrim fans should head further into Gromm’s Pass until they reach a pit where Gogh is held. Speaking with this goblin in his pit will generate a number of dialogue options, several of which will result in Gogh becoming the player’s follower. While the appropriate dialogue options are quite clear, fans that want to be absolutely certain that they recruit the follower should select “are you all right” and then “I’ve always wanted a goblin as a friend.”
Once Gogh has been enlisted as a follower, fans can speak with him to convince him to change his armor. Players can also take the goblin into battle, and Gogh’s ability to summon a Storm Atronach in Skyrim does give him some offensive utility. This bit of additional attack power can prove to be particularly useful in the early game, and it is thus recommended that players head down to Gromm’s Pass not long after they reach Riften.
