Over the years, mods have become an almost integral aspect to the overall experience of playing The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim. With an expansive variety of gameplay and texture-based mods for players to mess around with, Skyrim is one of the most modded games of all time. Given how many mods are available for players to download, this has led to some very unique creations, especially in terms of character building.

The base character creator for Skyrim is already quite multifaceted, featuring a large variety of different races to choose from, all of which possessing racial attributes. Even in the character creation tool, mods have made their presence known, allowing players to create characters that would otherwise never exist in the world of Skyrim, like Star Wars characters, to name one example. Though, one player, in particular, has managed to recreate one of the most iconic wizards in fiction.

A Reddit user named TizzelJMizzel has managed to recreate Gandalf the Grey from The Lord of the Rings. The accuracy of the recreation is startlingly accurate, from Gandalf's wide-brimmed, pointed hat, to the long white beard, to the grey cloak. The user even has Gandalf's staff and sword. All of which was accomplished through different mods.

There are plenty of awesome Skyrim mods that feature iconic characters from other games, but TizzelJMizzel's creations seem to be an amalgamation of different mods as a way of recreating one character. The user mentions that Glamdring, Gandalf's sword, and the staff were separate mods that weren't part of some comprehensive character mod. Overall, this recreation is both faithful and impressive.

It's amazing to see how much influence the modding community has had on Skyrim over the last decade. The fact that mods continue to get made for Skyrim today shows the influence the game has had on the gaming community overall. Considering that mods based on The Mandalorian have been released for Skyrim, it just shows how many people are still playing the game.

It will be interesting to see if mods play a key role in The Elder Scrolls 6. The modding community for Skyrim is still going strong ten years after the game's initial release, so one could assume that users will definitely develop mods for The Elder Scrolls 6 following its release. However, one thing to keep in mind is that there's been next to no official information released for the game, and fans rely solely on speculation at this point.

The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim is available now on PC, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Switch, Xbox 360, and Xbox One.
