The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim was released during an important period in the history of video games. When Skyrim originally came out, games came in boxes with manuals and other delights, but today the majority of video game sales are digital, meaning players collect their games without any physical packaging. The next installment in the Elder Scroll series, The Elder Scrolls 6 which was revealed via a trailer in 2018, is set to be released in the digital age, and fans are wondering if they would still receive physical goodies.

Elder Scrolls fans are understandably excited for the upcoming installment in the series following Skyrim's enormous success. However, they'll have to wait longer as The Elder Scrolls 6 is still in the pre-production stage and will not release anytime soon. While there are a lot of people crying out for the next installment in the series, the decade-old release continues to inspire great works of art. Now, a fan on Reddit has shared an image where they are showing off a ring they've created inspired by Skyrim.

Reddit user printcastmetalworks has shared an image of their Skyrim-inspired silver ring. The original poster claims they got the inspiration to make the ring after looting many Nordic tombs in the game. They have named their creation "The Draugr Champion Ring." According to Scandinavian folklore, Draugr are undead creatures who lied in graves or palaces and often guarded treasures, and the Draugr in the game also have similar characteristics. The ring created by the original poster depicts a Draugr lying in an open casket holding a sword. The creation garnered a lot of affection from Skyrim fans on Reddit and got hundreds of upvotes in only a couple of days.

Some fans wondered how much time it would have taken to develop this creation and what procedures were followed by the creator, and others were wondering if they would be able to buy it. The original poster stated that it took a week to sculpt the model and another three days to make it in silver. And printcastmetalworks also stated that Skyrim fans can buy their creation at their Etsy store and website.

Despite the fact that it has been over a decade since its release, The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim has maintained its popularity among gamers. Skyrim is one of the highest-rated Elder Scrolls games according to Metacritic, having sold over 20 million copies, and still tops the Steam sales chart.

The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim is out now for PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S.
