While The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim is a fairly old game (it was first released in 2011), the developers at Bethesda still managed to pack a ton of content into its world. Among the plethora of items players can discover while exploring the open world of Skyrim, there are numerous pieces of food players can collect and consume. However, perhaps one of the most recognizable is the game’s classic sweet rolls.

Sweet rolls are a food item found in Skyrim. As the name suggests, this in-game food is a pastry covered with icing. It restores 5 health to players and can be found in various locations throughout the game. Recently, one gamer decided to take the design of this in-game food item and recreate a physical version that could be eaten in the real world.

Taking to Reddit, a user by the name of Sekir0se shared a picture of a pastry they had made. Specifically, they had baked a sweet roll found in Skyrim. Impressively, the dessert looked as tasty as its in-game counterpart. In fact, it featured the same brownish dough along with a glaze of icing around the ridge at the top. However, this real-world recreation of a Skyrim sweet roll stood out due to its shape; it had the same tall rounded appearance seen by those found in the world of Tamriel.

Beyond showing a picture of the Skyrim sweet roll on Reddit, Sekir0se shared some details about creating the real-world version of the dessert. According to the Reddit user, they used the official Skyrim cookbook as a starting point for the project. Interestingly, the baker revealed the sweet roll was not actually that sweet-tasting, but they claimed that they liked it that way. In addition, they noted that it took them two attempts to successfully replicate the design of the classic Skyrim food item.

It has not taken long for numerous members of the Skyrim community on Reddit to notice this scrumptious sweet roll baked by Sekir0se. With over 11.5K upvotes in only a day, many were impressed with the overall design of the pastry. Unsurprisingly, many joked about stealing the sweet roll (a theme in The Elder Scrolls series). In addition, some gamers came up with ways to enhance the recipe further, such as putting fruit in the middle of the dessert.

Interestingly, this is not the only time a devoted Skyrim fan has attempted to make baked goods based on The Elder Scrolls series. Over the years, numerous players have tried to replicate the appearance of in-game sweet rolls in real life. In addition, one gamer took things a step further when they decided to make a complete feast that included numerous food items from Skyrim. Time will tell if Sekir0se chooses to make more delicacies based on The Elder Scrolls games in the weeks ahead.

The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim is available for PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
