Skyrim’s always had an enormous modding scene. Bethesda’s first-person action RPG is one of the most-played games of all time, and that’s due at least in part to Skyrim’s vast array of incredible mods.

With such an enormous modding scene, it’s a fair bet that if players want to cross over Skyrim with another game, at least one person already made it happen. This now includes Mediatonic and Devolver Digital’s cartoony battle-royale platformer Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout.

The new FallGuysFollowers mod arrived on Nexus Mods and Bethesda.net last week. The mod is available for both the PC and Xbox versions of Skyrim: Special Edition. The fan-made Fall Guys crossover does pretty much exactly what it says, adding Fall Guys characters as Skyrim followers. The FallGuysFollowers mod includes eleven distinct characters of various colors and sizes and craftable weapons and helmets for players to kit out their bean-like companions.

The ten standard Fall Guys Beans come in red, blue, yellow, orange, black, grey and black, green and black, red and yellow, yellow and green, and purple and green. Each is about half the size of a standard Skyrim NPC. The eleventh Bean is a full-sized version of the red Bean. Its exaggerated proportions and brightly colored body are reminiscent of a mascot costume when seen next to a typical NPC. Players can craft the stick and headwear from any Blacksmith’s Forge.

Players can then equip their Fall Guys followers with the Fall Guys Sweetroll hat, Fall Guys Guard Helmet, and Fall Guys Stick weapon. The latter appear to scale to the character’s size, appearing small when held by a Bean but enormous in the player character’s hands. The already endearingly goofy Beans seem even more so when paired with Skyrim’s more realistic art direction.

In addition to and arguably conflicting with the colorful beans, the FallGuysFollowers mod includes the hideous Skull Guys. The mod’s original creation, these disturbing little creatures resemble skeletons with grotesquely twisted spines. Whether their drooping eye stalks and loping walks make the Skull Guys goofy or unsettling is a matter of personal opinion.

Players can download FallGuysFollowers for PC from Nexus Mods and for Xbox One from Bethesda.net. After installation, players can recruit their Fall Guys companions from Whitewatch Tower, along the road leading north from Skyrim’s city of Whiterun. Meanwhile, the Skull Guys skulk around Hamvir’s Rest in the mountains northwest of the same town. And while FallGuysFollowers is far from Skyrim’s most realistic mod, it certainly seems like a fun mod for fans to play around with.

The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim - Anniversary Edition is available for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
