A large part of what makes The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim such a unique experience for so many players is the multifaceted nature of the open world. When roaming the many environments that Skyrim has to offer, certain events can occur that make the player feel a part of the world, not the center of it. However, some of these occurrences can be less realistic than others, as evidenced by a recent gameplay clip.

While Skyrim has managed to maintain its popularity over the last decade, the game does suffer from many technical hiccups. Thanks to various glitches and bugs, some truly ridiculous moments have occurred within Skyrim over the course of the last several years, including a glitch where a flying horse fought multiple dragons. Instead of a horse, one of the most recent glitches involves an elk dropping out of the sky.

Over on Reddit, a user named Jade5041 posted a clip of a conversation with Ri'saad, a roving Khajiit merchant and quest giver. Suddenly, a gigantic elk hits the ground in the background behind Ri'saad, having seemingly fallen out of the sky. While this is certainly a bizarre, if not hilarious, occurrence, it begs to question of how exactly an elk managed to randomly fall out of the sky.

It's possible that the character model for the elk just happened to spawn from an extreme height and then immediately got killed from falling. Though, given their propensity for launching things into the sky, it's also likely that a giant may have attacked the elk and launched it into the sky. This is a surprisingly common occurrence in Skyrim, to the point where a fan actually made a mod of a giant's club that sends enemies flying in a similar fashion.

It's amazing how players are still managing to find new glitches and bugs within Skyrim. Despite the game being over a decade old, players are still managing to get a lot of mileage out of Skyrim. Now, with the recent release of Skyrim: Anniversary Edition, longtime fans of the game have achieved several more in-game feats as a result, such as beating Skyrim with nothing but a fishing rod.

In any case, it will be interesting to see what the future holds for The Elder Scrolls series going forward. Despite being unveiled at E3 2018, there has been little to no news regarding the release of The Elder Scrolls 6. It's possible that Bethesda is still dedicating a massive amount of effort to Starfield, but with any luck, an update on the development of The Elder Scrolls 6 will be released soon.

The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim is available for PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
