One of the most appealing qualities of The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim is the ways in which players can individually approach the game. Given the open-ended environments that Skyrim provides, along with the mission structure allowing for more creative solutions to in-game problems, the game certainly has a lot to offer its player base. Although, fans of Skyrim are also typically aware of the plethora of glitches and bugs the game possesses.

While technical issues are primarily frowned upon when it comes to the gaming community, as with games like Cyberpunk 2077, Skyrim is a rare example of glitches becoming a part of the game's culture in a positive way. Instead of users being irritated by the in-game bugs, most Skyrim fans tend to share these moments to the point where it becomes an accepted part of being a Skyrim fan. Though, this most recent glitch is certainly a humorous one.

A Reddit user named Katasan84 discovered an extremely hilarious glitch involving the NPC Belethor, owner of the general goods store in the city of Whiterun. Once Belethor assumes a certain pose, the player shoots him with an arrow, causing the game to cut to the deathcam, where assumedly, Belethor gets killed. Instead of dropping to the ground, the character model gets pushed all the way back to the ground, only to assume the same position, much like a Weeble Wobble toy.

The glitch itself is quite hilarious, especially considering that a group of Stormcloaks immediately enter the premise and start attacking the player. Though, the exact reason as to why the glitch occurs in the first place is rather mysterious. One could surmise that once Belethor's character model poses with his hands crossed on the table, any force applied to the model would cause it to reassume that position.

It's amazing to see how players are still managing to find new glitches within Skyrim. Despite the game releasing over ten years ago and having multiple different versions and ports, such as Skyrim: Anniversary Edition, there always seem to be new things for players to discover in-game. Whether that be certain locations, events, or silly glitches such as this.

In any case, it will be interesting to see what the future holds for The Elder Scrolls series going forward. With the upcoming release of The Elder Scrolls 6 seemingly nowhere in sight, that game will certainly have big shoes to fill when it eventually launches if it wants to surpass the success that Skyrim has had for the last decade.

The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim is available for PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
