A Bethesda fan has made a custom Nintendo Switch case themed after the 2011 Bethesda game, The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim. In the past, fans have designed their own cases related to the recent Nintendo console. One fan, for example, made a Mario-themed case for their Switch games, though tributes related to Skyrim and the console are far less common.

In 2011, The Elder Scroll 5: Skyrim hit shelves worldwide and blew gamers away. Between its depth of character customization and the seemingly never-ending number of available quests, it was an installment that set the bar for open-world fantasy games for years. To this day, fans are creating new tributes to the Elder Scrolls game which range from full works of art to Skyrim crossovers with Tintin. More recently, a fan opted to take their tribute further by making a whole Nintendo Switch case.

The case itself features the game's logo on the front as well as a number of icons that can be seen throughout the game. The Nintendo Switch Skyrim case was shared by Reddit user sonicbooming and was made primarily out of leather. They went on to explain that it was created by their co-worker who did leather work and had it made for their wife as an anniversary gift.

As mentioned above, over the years, fans of the game have made their own tributes to the latest Elder Scrolls game. One fan actually found a statue of Skyrim's Dragonborn main character outside a local brewery. Others have made deserts that clearly took inspiration from the game while others have created statues based on characters from the game. Now, however, Switch fans seem to be catching up with their own tributes to the game.

In the eleven years since the game was originally released, it has been re-released several times and was eventually ported to the Nintendo console. Reviews for the Switch version of Skyrim were ultimately good, noting how it was a quality port of the game. More recently the Skyrim Anniversary Edition was released on the Nintendo Switch eShop not long after rumors of an impending release leaked. With this newest edition now available on the console, it's possible that fans will be seeing more Nintendo-related tributes to the game to the game for some time.

The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim - Anniversary Edition is out now for PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
