Despite the massive amount of notoriety The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim has achieved during its ten-year commercial run, the game is not without its shortcomings. To this day, there are a number of technical issues, such as glitches and bugs, that permeate the world of Skyrim. Now, one player has witnessed something deeply strange during their very first time playing the game.

In most AAA examples, glitches tend to be frowned upon in terms of the gaming community. Technical problems can certainly offer a degree of entertainment value that the core content would have never otherwise provided, but with games like Cyberpunk 2077, the bugs are so noticeable and consistent that it detracts from the experience altogether. Luckily, Skyrim has gotten to the point where the in-game glitches have become an active part of the culture surrounding the game, as a brand-new Skyrim player recently found out.

Over on Reddit, a user named thatfitnessdude posted a gameplay clip of them riding in the wagon with Ralof and Ulfric Stormcloak during the beginning portion of Skyrim. Suddenly, the wagon starts to violently buck up and down as though something is magically pulling it off the ground. The wagon then proceeds to spin around in the air, all of which is still being witnessed from a first-person perspective.

According to the user, this was their first attempt at playing Skyrim, which is fairly unfortunate that the player was still in the beginning of the game when glitches started to occur. While this is still a humorous occurrence, given that this is their first time playing Skyrim, and they weren't able to leave Helgen without running into this glitch, it has the potential to leave a rather negative first impression.

It's strange that even after being out for over a decade, Skyrim still possesses a number of game-breaking bugs. A significant portion of fans claim that the glitches are part of the game's charm, but when it comes to people who have never played Skyrim before, it can certainly come as a shock. Though, with any luck, Skyrim: Anniversary Edition has hopefully addressed some of these longstanding issues.

In any case, it will be interesting to see what the future holds for The Elder Scrolls series going forward. Back in 2019, Bethesda officially announced the development of The Elder Scrolls 6, but there has been little to no additional information provided. In fairness, Bethesda's new upcoming title, Starfield, is likely taking up a lot of development time.

The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim is available for PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
