The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim is filled with Easter eggs that reference various gaming and multimedia franchises. Assassin’s Creed is one of the biggest franchises in the gaming industry, with the last game Assassin's Creed Valhalla generating over a billion dollars in revenue shortly after its launch. So, it probably doesn’t come as a surprise that The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim features a neat reference to this long-running franchise.
A user named Abiesarus has shared a clip that shows them performing a leap of faith from Bard's Leap Summit in The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim. Abiesarus jumps into a pool of water from a considerable height, only to be greeted by a spirit named Azzadal who talks about it being a long time since anyone took the plunge and survived. Azzadal mentions performing at the top of Bard's Leap before taking a leap of faith, but he evidently did not survive the fall. Shortly afterward, the spirit pulls out a musical instrument and starts playing a tune before suddenly vanishing away.
Bard's Leap Summit is just a wooden plank at the top of Lost Valley Redoubt and players can improve their Speech skill in The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim by performing this feat. However, this can only be earned once, as players will not get bonus points for repeated jumps. The Speech skill tree includes some useful benefits, such as better prices and being able to bribe Skyrim guards to ignore their crimes.
It looks like many players jumped as soon as they came across this location in The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim. Fans state that they couldn’t stop themselves from making a leap of faith, but some ended up failing the jump and had to reload a previous save to perform it correctly. Some used the Become Ethereal Skyrim shout before taking the plunge, thereby negating any damage they would have taken from the fall.
This jump from the wooden plank is a clear reference to the Assassin’s Creed series, as characters can perform a leap of faith after synchronizing with an Eagle Point in these games.
