It’s somewhat crazy to believe that The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim is 10 years old. It’s become something of a running joke how frequently it has been re-released, as well as how fans of the game have happily purchased it again every time. After its initial 2011 release for PC, Xbox 360, and PlayStation 3, Bethesda has released the Legendary Edition that comes with all the DLC, a remastered Special Edition for PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4, a Nintendo Switch port, a VR version, and next week will see the release of Skyrim Anniversary Edition.

The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim Anniversary Edition is easily the most content-rich version of the game thus far. Aside from all the next-gen enhancements fans can expect from the Xbox Series X/S and PS5 versions and all the DLC, there will be more than 500 pieces of Creation Club content designed by Bethesda and the Skyrim community. This includes things like new weapons, new quests, and even modes like fishing. Earlier today, Bethesda has shared one example that is bound to make fans of The Elder Scrolls 3: Morrowind happy.

Titled the Ghosts of the Tribunal collection, Bethesda says that it will include over a dozen weapons and armors taken from Morrowind. A blog post on Bethesda’s website goes into a bit more detail, explaining how players can get their hands on these items. The Tribunal Temple was the dominant religion in the province of Morrowind, which worshipped the three gods of the Tribunal: Almalexia, Sotha Sil, and Vivec.

It was later superseded, and the three gods have vanished. Since Skyrim is set hundreds of years after the events of Morrowind, it was believed the Tribunal was a thing of the past. But it turns out there are still some groups dedicated to the old religion and players can choose to assist and rebuild one of these groups or completely wipe them out. Whatever the player’s choice, they’ll still be rewarded with new gear from Morrowind, such as weapons like Magebane, the Cleaver of St. Felms, and Skull Crusher, as well as the armor of the ancient Ordinator soldiers and the masks worn by the Tribunal Temple themselves. Some images of these items can be found on Bethesda’s website.

Skyrim: Anniversary Edition may be another re-release, but it sounds like it could be the perfect game to keep fans of The Elder Scrolls occupied until The Elder Scrolls 6 releases. Ever since its 2018 teaser trailer, there have been no real updates or gameplay footage, although Microsoft’s acquisition of Bethesda means it will most likely release exclusively for the Xbox platform.

The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim Anniversary Edition releases on November 11 for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
