Another fan of The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim has found a way to bring one of the game's weapons, the Dragonbone Dagger, into the real world using a 3D printer. The game's community members who appreciate the beauty and variety of Skyrim weapons will likely enjoy the accuracy and details of the 3D printed dagger this fan has created.
Many of the action RPG's players have crafted the game's equipment in real life before. Given that there are so many beautiful weapons and armor in Skyrim, the creatives within the game's community have a lot of inspiration to work with. Some work with traditional mediums such as foam, wood, or metal, while others prefer to use modern devices like 3D printers to bring these in-game items to life. No matter the materials used, the Skyrim fanbase is probably just happy to see that it is possible to make real-world versions of these equipments.
Redditor ReProps posted a photo of the 3D printed Skyrim Dragonbone Dagger they made on the online platform. The item looks incredibly detailed, even showing details of how worn out the dagger's metal is, just like in the game. ReProp's weapon also looks accurate in terms of size, given how they were holding it with just one hand. Players will likely recall that the Dragonbone Dagger is one of the weapons that the Dragonborn can forge in Skyrim once they reach level 100 in their Smithing skill and have the Dragon Armor perk.
Comments on the Reddit thread provided very positive feedback for ReProp's work on the Dragonbone Dagger. Many jokingly wondered where they were able to find the dragon bones to forge the weapon, and one even asked if the Redditor had already reached level 100 in the Skyrim Smithing skill. According to the artist's Reddit profile, they are quite prolific in making props, weapons, and armor from a variety of video games and other series. Some of their works include another Skyrim piece such as a Dawnguard helm, a Pip-Boy from Fallout, and others.
Hopefully this is not the last Skyrim weapon or armor that ReProps will craft and post online. Given how game-accurate they have made their 3D printed Dragonbone Dagger, they are likely to make other pieces with the same amount of effort and detail. Fans will likely look forward to seeing the next 3D print project that they make, whether it is Skyrim-themed or otherwise.
