Marvel Comics properties are becoming an increasingly popular choice to create AAA games for, as they allow fans to play as some of their favorite superheroes in some high-quality titles. Whether it be web-swinging through the streets of New York as Spider-Man or saving the world as the Avengers, there's a lot to choose from. A lot of new games are also currently in development that will feature some of Marvel's heroes. These run the gammut from Insomniac working on a Wolverine game to Skydance New Media developing a 'blockbuster' Marvel game.

Skydance New Media is a new studio healmed by former Naughty Dog developer Amy Hennig, who had been the narrative writer of games like Jak and Daxter and Uncharted. She's one of the industry's most influential women, and continues her work with this new studio. She recently confirmed that Skydance New Media and Marvel comics were partnering up for a new AAA title set in the Marvel universe, with many fans getting excited about the pairing.

While details regarding this game have been rather sparse, a new writer has been confirmed to be a part of the project. On a recent episode of the podcast Fatman Beyond, one of the hosts, Marc Bernardin, revealed that he's a writer on Skydance New Media's new Marvel game. Kevin Smith, the other host and interviewe, noted the excitement of fans in the YouTube chat. He also revealed that one of the fans' guesses for which hero the game would revolve around was correct.

With such sparse information given about this recently announced title, there has been a lot of speculation regarding which character it would star. One of the most prevalent rumored characters for Skydance's Marvel game was Daredevil, which is supposedly supported by an older leak. Other ones thrown around in the chat included the Fantastic Four, Ant-Man, and even an open-world game starring Black Panther. Any of these heroes would make for a stellar protagonist for a game, as players would surely have fun wielding their powers.

In regards to Marc Bernardin's past works, he's has written for many different forms of media. This ranges from Marvel comic books to shows like the upcoming The Legend of Vox Machina animated series. It's only a matter of time before more information regarding this project is shared publicly, and with a series of high-profile talent working on it behind-the-scenes on it, Marvel fans have good reason to be excited.
