Movie releases are one of many things that have been affected by the coronavirus pandemic. Even a large studio like Marvel had to delay its upcoming Black Widow and other films planned to release in Phase 4 of the MCU like Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings.

Though fans waiting for the Asian-led superhero movie to arrive now have to wait until May 2021, the star of that Marvel film Simu Liu has potentially given them something to look forward to. On Saturday, he Tweeted a picture of "The Suit Reveal," but rather than his costume for Shang-Chi, it depicts him looking like DC Comics' Green Lantern.

This troll may seem mean spirited to some, but it suggests that Marvel might want to announce more about Shang-Chi soon and decided to let Liu have some fun with it first, as he did following the recent delay announcement.

The coronavirus pandemic has had huge repercussions for movie theater chains like AMC, so it will be interesting to see how the MCU adapts its long-term release strategy once the world begins to open up.

Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings will premiere in theaters on May 7, 2021.
