The Sims franchise is most likely a guilty pleasure for most players. Players can find fun in building massive homes or raising a large family from birth to death. Fans of the series know there are many types of Sims that are playable, such as witches or robots. Players are able to make a family of aliens or a family mixed with the different occult in the game.

The occult in the series can either give Sims magical powers or change the times when the Sim can be awake. While it is cool to have supernatural creatures in the game, some of the occult are definitely better than others.

16 Imaginary Friend

The Imaginary Friend only appears in The Sims 3 and is given to a newborn baby by a distant family member. The Imaginary Friend grows up with the child, becoming a toddler and then a child. By using a special potion, the doll can be turned into a real person.

After turning human, the former Imaginary Friend will have wacky clothes, colored hair, and uniquely colored hair. If the player so wished, Imaginary Friends can be married and have children. Nothing like growing up and marrying someone who was with you since birth.

15 Genie

The Genie has appeared in every game up to The Sims 3, but it only became a life state in The Sims 3. The Genie can be released from its lamp, something that could not be done before. Doing so will make the formerly trapped Genie playable.

The Genie is then free to marry and have children with whoever the player wants. The children have the chance to be born with blue skin and magic powers, making them pretty unique. After seeing it in The Sims 3, it would have been cool to free the Genie is earlier games.

14 Bigfoot

Bigfoot is usually thought of as being elusive, but he can be found in the Bon Voyage expansion pack for The Sims 2. By finding a map while digging for treasure, the player is able to befriend Bigfoot and invite him to live with them. From there, he will live until old age.

The sad thing is, Bigfoot is not able to marry or have children. Bigfoot is still good with children and can be used as a babysitter when the parents are at work.

13 Plumbot

Plumbots can be built if the player travels into the future in The Sims 3: Into the Future. The Plumbot is a more advanced version of the Servo and SimBot, being able to have traits. Plumbots are also able to have their appearance changed, with different head and torso options being available.

Plumbots are immortal for the most part, only being killed by meteors. Interestingly, Plumbots can be sold by the player for a little extra money.

12 Fairy

The fairy only appears in The Sims 3: Supernatural. The fairy is unique, as it has wings to allow it to fly and can use magic. By using magic more and more, they are able to unlock more spells.

Offspring of the fairies have the chance to be born with wings and magical abilities, passing down their supernatural genetics. Players are also able to change the fairy's wing design, making each one unique.

11 Zombie

Zombies have appeared in The Sims 2 and The Sims 3, turning Sims into undead creatures. In The Sims 2, a Sim can become a zombie by paying a small amount of money when talking to the Grim Reaper. Meanwhile, a zombie in The Sims 3 is a temporary life state.

Maybe zombies will make a comeback in a future Sims 4 update, but hopefully it adds more than The Sims 3 did. It would be nice to bring back an old character through unnatural means.

10 SimBot

A SimBot is similar to the Servo, but it looks like a predecessor of the Servo. There are two ways to require this robot -- either by inventing them or by purchasing a lifetime reward. The male and female versions of SimBots differ in the designs of their heads, making them easy to distinguish.

SimBots purchased using lifetime rewards take on a dirty and used appearance, while an invented one is cleaner. Unlike Plumbots, SimBots can die of old age, drown, and starve. By inventing this robot, the player can give their sim a new spouse or a free maid.

9 Mummy

The mummy can be found in The Sims 3: World Adventures either as an NPC or by a Sim being cursed. If a Sim sleeps in a cursed sarcophagus twice within a few hours, they will exit the sarcophagus as a mummy the second time. Talk about bringing home a souvenir from vacation.

Mummies also have the ability to kill Sims, as they can breath a type of fog on a Sim during a fight. If the Sim still has the curse after two weeks, they will die. On the plus side, a player could rid the neighborhood of anyone they do not like.

8 PlantSim

The PlantSim has been in every game since The Sims 2. The PlantSim is able to reproduce asexually, growing a baby by themselves in The Sims 2 and by planting a seed in the ground in The Sims 3. In The Sims 4, a Sim can temporarily become a PlantSim by making plant matter ice cream.

In The Sims 2, a Sim can become a PlantSim by spraying pesticides a few times and a Sim can become a PlantSim in The Sims 3 by eating a forbidden fruit. It should be noted, the PlantSim in The Sims 3 can't reproduce through normal means.

7 Mermaid

The mermaid can be found in The Sims 3: Island Paradise and The Sims 4: Island Living. Mermaids take on the appearance of normal Sims while on land, but grow a tail when they enter the water. A Sim can become a mermaid in The Sims 3 and The Sims 4 by eating mermadic kelp.

In The Sims 3, mermaids are able to stay underwater longer and can swim faster than normal Sims. In The Sims 4, mermaids are able to change the weather, change a Sim's mood, and summon dolphins to them. Being a mermaid is also genetic, making it possible for their child to be born a mermaid.

6 Servo

The Servo appears in The Sims 2 and The Sims 4: Discover University. With the inclusion of Plumbots and SimBots, Servos are absent from The Sims 3. Servos can be built by Sims who have a gold badge in robot making in The Sims 2 and can be built by having level 8 in robotics and supplies in The Sims 4.

The player can either activate the Servo after building it or can sell it for a bit of money. A servos emotions can be shown on their face in The Sims 4, something missing from the one in The Sims 2. Another difference is Servos can die if they are not taken care of in The Sims 4.

5 Werewolf

Werewolves can be found in The Sims 2 and The Sims 3: Supernatural. Sims turn into a werewolf at night, or during a full moon in The Sims 3. A werewolf in The Sims 2 loses their clothes and becomes hairy with yellow eyes, while in The Sims 3 a werewolf they have fangs and become hairy.

Werewolves in The Sims 3 have the chance to have werewolf children. It is a 50% chance if only one parent is a werewolf, with it being a 100% chance if both are werewolves. The children show signs of being werewolves starting as toddlers, such as howling and scratching at furniture.

4 Witch

Witches make an appearance in The Sims 2 and The Sims 3: Supernatural. Witches appear in The Sims 4, instead being called Spellcasters. Witches and Spellcasters are magical, able to perform evil or good powers. Witches and Spellcasters are a genetic life state in The Sims 3 and The Sims 4, but a witch's child will never be born a witch in The Sims 2.

Players are able to recreate their favorite Harry Potter character in The Sims 3 4, making a lineage of magic. Spellcasters in The Sims 4 can become more powerful as a bloodline is created. For instance, the first generation will have a weak bloodline, the second generation will have a strong bloodline, and the third generation will have an ancient bloodline.

3 Ghosts

Ghosts have appeared in every Sims game, appearing when a Sim dies. In The Sims 2 and The Sims 3, the color of a ghost depends on how they died. The color of a ghost in The Sims 4 depends on the mood of the ghost. Ghosts have become a playable life state starting in The Sims 3.

Ghosts in each game can scare alive Sims and possess items. No matter how a Sim dies, they will turn into a ghost. If the grave of the deceased Sim is on the lot, there is a chance the Sim will come back to haunt the area.

2 Vampire

Vampires have made an appearance in every Sims game since The Sims 2, taking on a new look every game. Vampires in the second games look like they are Victorian-era, vampires in The Sims 3 look modern, and vampires in the newest game have a dark form they can turn into. Vampires are able to turn into bats, suck other Sims' blood, and can't be out in the sun.

Vampires die in they step into the sun in The Sims 2, but vampires in the other games will lose their powers and lose motives quickly. Vampires are genetic in The Sims 3 and The Sims 4, but a vampire's child will never be born a vampire in The Sims 2.

1 Aliens

Aliens have appeared in every game since The Sims 2, being able to reproduce with normal Sims. In each game, Sims are able to be abducted, having the chance to become pregnant. Interestingly enough, only male Sims can become pregnant from an alien. The alien's planet, Sixam, can only be seen in The Sims 4.

While the alien's planet does make an appearance in a game, it would be interesting to see the rest of space. Aliens have become a part of the Sim planet, but yet not a lot is known about them.
