Electronic Arts' The Sims 4 has seen a number of new additions throughout the year that continue to expand what players are able to do in the 2014 life simulation game. The Nifty Knitting Stuff Pack released in July, adding an Etsy-esque online market to the game, and in September a Star Wars crossover called Journey to Batuu gave players a trip far, far away. Now, more winter activities are ready to be announced.

The official Sims Twitter account put out a message this morning advertising the game's upcoming Snowy Escape expansion pack, meaning it will contain more content on the whole than smaller stuff packs. The promotional image included with the Tweet features Sims 4 characters riding snowboards and sleds, climbing rock walls, and enjoying a locale with Japanese-inspired architecture.

No release date or full content list has been provided at this time, but the Tweet is just a teaser for something bigger. More about the Snowy Escape expansion will be shown off through a YouTube trailer reveal tomorrow, October 20, at 8:00 a.m. PT. This isn't the first time developers have surprise announced new information, as earlier this month The Sims 4 confirmed Hispanic-themed content in a livestream for Hispanic Heritage Month.

Winter was first introduced to The Sims 4 in its Seasons update that released in 2018, but this expansion appears to be adding more sports and leisure activities for players to let their Sims take part in. Developers have also confirmed a skin tone update is coming to The Sims 4, but as of now it's unclear whether that will be included.

The Sims 4 is out now for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
