An artistic recreation of an Animal Crossing: New Horizons island in The Sims 4 is delighting fans at its attention to detail. The Sims 4 is nearly a decade old at this point, but many players have kept up with the game that whole time.

Players often enjoy both of these games, with similar gameplay opportunities to build, meet and befriend neighbors, and an open canvas for being creative. While many looked to Animal Crossing: New Horizons to help fill the social isolation of the pandemic, others were able to utilize The Sims 4 in a similar way. These shared interests and similarities have led to some players creating Sims and Animal Crossing crossover art, and this build is one of the latest to impress.

Reddit user AJayySim shared an image of their recent build on multiple subreddits, leaving fans in the Sims and Animal Crossing fanbases pleased. The image is surprisingly detailed, with many little hidden features of Animal Crossing within it. A house sits in the center, strongly resembling the cabin that Animal Crossing: New Horizons players eventually unlock after starting out in a tent. However, that's just the tip of the iceberg.

With a careful eye, viewers might see a lot of easter eggs taken straight from Animal Crossing. The dock, complete with plane and radio, are a perfect recreation of the entrance of one's Animal Crossing island. A small present hovers overhead being carried by a balloon, trees hold oversized apples, a tree stump crafting station is in front of the home, and a dog sits on a bench with a guitar, a tribute to the iconic K.K. Slider. Hiding in plain sight is a Nintendo Switch, serving as the base of the home and the lot it's sitting on.

It's clear that AJayySim is a big fan of both games and has stretched their creative skill in The Sims 4 to build this recreation so faithfully. The post has earned tremendous praise from both communities, with several asking if the build is available on the Sims gallery so they can look at it in their own games. However, AJayySim hasn't responded to these queries, so for now, fans will have to settle with looking at a still image.

While a lot of the fervor surrounding Animal Crossing: New Horizons at launch has died down, players still love the game, even if they're not playing it actively. With Animal Crossing: New Horizons smashing sales records and being a staple part of many's lives during the pandemic, the game will be memorable and nostalgic for millions of its players for years to come. Tributes like these will likely continue as a result.

The Sims 4 is available now for Mac, PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
