Fans of The Simpsons: Hit and Run can now relive the game through its official soundtrack via Spotify and Apple Music. This comes after many requests for a The Simpsons: Hit and Run sequel or remake, with gamers even signing a petition to hopefully convince developers.

First released in 2003, the action-adventure game follows the Simpson family as they do quests to uncover the mysterious occurrences happening in Springfield. The Simpsons: Hit and Run was heavily inspired by the Grand Theft Auto franchise as it allows players to enjoy a sandbox-style gameplay, letting them interact with a host of The Simpsons characters and drive around, as well as do shenanigans like punching civilians for extra cash.

While there isn't any news on a remake or sequel just yet, fans discovered that the entire The Simpsons: Hit and Run soundtrack was uploaded on Spotify and Apple Music by Disney and 20th Century Fox. It recently came up on people's radars after Twitter user Out of Context 20th Century Fox posted about it on January 13, but there have been posts as early as September 2022 about the OST being available. Check it out below:

Many fans were confused as to why there was little to no promo about The Simpson: Hit and Run's OST, especially with the game turning 20 years old this year. Meanwhile, some saw this as a sign that a remake might be on the horizon with the help of Disney.

It might be too early to tell whether The Simpsons: Hit and Run would make a sudden comeback based on this information, but it might just inspire developers to work on it because of the hype still surrounding the game. The only setback is that Radical Entertainment, the developer behind the title, had shut down back in 2012. Unless another team revives The Simpsons: Hit and Run, a remake might not be possible, but a sequel might still work. Even former Radical Entertainment producer Vlad Ceraldi thought it will be a great idea to remake the game if someone would take the initiative.

With popular titles like Final Fantasy 7 and Resident Evil 4 getting remakes and remastered versions, it's not unlikely for The Simpsons: Hit and Run to get its chance in some form in the future. Modders have already reimagined it as an open-world game using Unreal Engine 5, so there's a lot of potential for it to run on current-gen consoles.

The Simpsons: Hit And Run released in 2003 on GameCube, PC, PS2, and Xbox.
