Recently, news broke from multiple sources that Konami was apparently pursuing a Silent Hill reboot in collaboration with Sony. According to the unconfirmed reports, Sony would help with funding the game, likely in exchange for it being exclusive to the PlayStation 5. Now more details about Konami's Silent Hill plans have leaked online, pointing to multiple new projects in the works at the company.

According to AestheticGamer, a leaker who has accurately leaked Resident Evil news in the past, Konami is potentially pursuing three Silent Hill video game projects. One is the aforementioned Silent Hill reboot that's reportedly coming from Sony and Konami, and another is an episodic game of some kind. Apparently, Supermassive Games of Until Dawn fame was pursued to work on the episodic Silent Hill game, though plans fell through.

As for the third possible Silent Hill project, apparently Konami and Kojima are in talks for him to make a Silent Hill game. AestheticGamer stressed that the Hideo Kojima Silent Hill game "isn't a thing yet," but that Sony and Konami would also likely split the bill for that project as well.

This isn't the first time that we've heard rumblings of a new Silent Hill game being developed by Hideo Kojima. Rumors started swirling months ago that, against all odds, Kojima and Konami were in active discussions about a new Silent Hill game, and while they seemed unbelievable at the time, they seem like a much more likely possibility now. Of course, fans should still keep their expectations in check and take everything with a grain of salt until something official is announced.

Even if something official is announced, fans may want to remain cautious until the new Silent Hill games are actually available for purchase. Silent Hills' cancellation is still a sore spot for fans of the franchise, and it's possible that the new Silent Hill projects could be canned before they can even really get off the ground.

If there's any truth to these rumors, hopefully we'll learn more sooner rather than later. What we do know is that Hideo Kojima is working on a horror game of some kind, so even if it's not Silent Hill, fans of the creator still have that to look forward to at least.

Multiple Silent Hill games are rumored to be in development.
